Spruce Moose

The Spruce Moose is the upstairs unit of the McCarthy Guesthouse. The unit has a private entrance, centrally located but tucked slightly away from Main Street to ensure a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. One of the few remaining original residences dating back to the 1920's, the McCarthy Guesthouse is decorated with original furniture and artifacts.

The Spruce Moose unit features a master bedroom with a Queen bed, a living room with a full-size pull-out couch and an optional twin bed in a separate room. The unit boasts a private bathroom with an original tub and modern shower (a luxury in off-the-grid McCarthy!) as well as a well-equipped kitchen with a stove, oven and refrigerator. You can also count on modern conveniences such as electricity, heat and Wifi during your stay. The front porch is yours to enjoy, too! This unit is perfect for families, travelers looking to spend less on dining out or with sever dietary restrictions and those looking for a cozy stay!

You'll find local eateries such as The Potato, The Golden Saloon, and McCarthy Lodge Bistro and Salmon and Bear as well as the local mercantile store with a limited selection, coffee shop, gift shop, guide service and air taxi office all within an easy walking distance.

*Please note that the unit does not feature a microwave, and electric heat-producing devices will crash the delicate system so please do not bring your own cooking appliances. A low-wattage hair dryer is provided for your stay.
